Over the weekend of 20-22 July around 80 of us descended on Hill House, (a Christian Centre, near Cannington), for a weekend of fellowship, fun and (spiritual) food. And what a great time we had together!
The adult sessions were led by Gordon & Janice Tuck, from Testwood Baptist Church, Totton, whose theme was: ‘God knows us by name’. It was good to be reminded of how well God knows us; how deeply He loves us; and how much He wants to speak to us and through us. The children and youth had their own sessions, which they told us all about at the end of the weekend as we met for communion.
The weather was amazing, the surrounding countryside is very beautiful, and the times of sharing together over meals and coffee breaks were much appreciated by all.
Finally, thanks to the wonders of modern technology, we were able to relay two of the weekend’s main talks at our two services at M.C.F. on the Sunday ~ so those who couldn’t get to Hill House were able to benefit from some of the teaching.
