Chris Spracklen

As the primary teaching pastor, Chris has a passion for carefully explaining and applying the Bible’s ageless truth and is responsible for more than half of the Sunday morning talks. He has served  MCF since September 2000 and, prior to that, pastored a similar church in Exeter. Chris is married to Carole and they have two sons and six gorgeous grandchildren.

Chris is also passionate about photography and unwinds best with a camera in his hand. You can see some of his photos here: http://www.pbase.com/moorlands/  He also plays guitar and is one of the MCF worship leaders.

Tearfund

Tearfund is an aid and development agency working to end poverty and injustice, with a view to restoring dignity and hope in some of the world’s poorest communities. It operates in over 50 countries around the world, working through local church partners and disaster response teams to tackle poverty from the inside out. The main focus of its work is in ‘the majority world’ but they are also involved in projects across Eastern Europe and also in the UK.

As well as being present in disaster situations, on behalf of poor people, Tearfund speaks out wherever they can on the national and international stage by petitioning governments, campaigning for justice and raising the profile of key poverty issues.

Mission Aviation Fellowship

Mission Aviation Fellowship was founded in 1945 by a group of WWII pilots who had a vision for how aviation could be used to help spread the Good News of Jesus. It is an indispensable partner and servant to Christian organisations and other agencies, helping to enable evangelism and church nurture, medical assistance, disaster response and community development, as well as the training and development of indigenous people. Using aviation and technology, MAF shares the love of God by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of isolated people in 42 countries throughout Asia, Africa, Eurasia and Latin America.
Through MAF, MCF provides support to Matt & Becki Dillingham and their children Bethan, Luke and Tamsin, who are on assignment in Tanzania.

Dave Sinclair

As the Executive Pastor Dave wears a lot of hats - sometimes literally! You’ll find Dave leading worship and speaking on a Sunday morning, running MCF’s youth ministry, leading the team and making coffee in the George (he’s particularly proud of his latte art skills!), developing family outreach initiatives, leading Prayer and Praise and just about anywhere else in MCF’s ministry (he likes to think of himself as a bit of a Ministry Ninja).

Dave and his wife Ebony joined us at MCF in September 2022 with their 2 dogs and far too much stuff - Dave has a lot of hobbies! He enjoys gardening, rugby (he’s a massive Scottish rugby fan), gaming (video, board and tabletop), cooking and the great outdoors.

Hope Now

Hope Now was founded by Vic Jackopson in July 1985 and operates primarily in Ukraine.

Its consistent balance of direct evangelism with social action ensures the message of the Gospel touches the hearts of young and old, poor and rich, healthy and infirm, free and imprisoned. Its caring ministries help to provide healthcare for children with birth abnormalities and homes for orphans and ‘street’ children.

Hope Now introduced and linked MCF to a church in Chervona Sloboda, near Cherkasy. The church is building a larger and much improved building in which its members can meet and minister. MCF has supported this project both financially and with team visits, including one by our youth, and we look forward to the day when the new church is finished and open for use.

Open Doors

The main ministry of Open Doors is to strengthen and equip Christians around the world who are facing persecution and discrimination because of their faith in Jesus Christ, and to encourage their involvement in world evangelism by:

  • Providing Bibles and literature, media, leadership training, socio-economic development and through intercessory prayer;

  • Preparing the body of Christ living in threatened or unstable areas to face persecution and suffering; and

  • Educating and mobilising the body of Christ living in the free world to identify with threatened and persecuted Christians and be actively involved in assisting them.
